With the upload of data from more than 100 clinical trials comprising almost 60.000 individuals completed, Hypo-RESOLVE has taken a great step towards the creation of a secure, sustainable database. Prior to upload, the data was de-identified to safeguard patients’ anonymity, and secure data transfer procedures ensured safe transfer to the Hypo-RESOLVE server. The necessary reformatting, harmonisation and pooling of the data into standardized clinical database tables is still ongoing, and will be accomplished by the end of 2020. Analysing these data will offer tremendous statistical power to establish the glucose threshold(s) below which hypoglycaemia constitutes a risk for clinical outcomes as well as determine risk factors for hypoglycaemia. The data will soon be available for extensive statistical analysis, for which a statistical analysis plan has already been constructed and tested.
